Japanese stock indices rose at the end of the morning trading session at the Tokyo Stock Exchange today, Wednesday.

According to Japanese media, the Japanese Nikkei index rose 0.51 percent at the opening today to 39,102.89 points.

The broader Topix index also gained 0.26 percent to 2,689.12 points.
