Taiz acting governor, Ahmed Amin Al-Masawi, and the province's security director, Brigadier General Shukri Mahyoub, honored on Friday the former director of the anti-smuggling unit, Lieutenant Colonel Ali Amer, for his efforts in building the anti-smuggling unit.
During the ceremony, Al-Masawi pointed out that honoring Lieutenant Colonel Amer comes in recognition of his efforts, in appreciation of his role and that of the anti-smuggling unit members during his tenure in controlling and limiting smuggling crimes.
The former director of the anti-smuggling unit expressed his thanks for the honor. He stressed the continuation of the anti-smuggling unit in maintaining security , public tranquility, arresting anyone who tries to undermine the security and stability of the country, in cooperation with all honorable citizens of the country, in order to serve the public interest.
