Manchester - Saba: The English club Manchester United officially announced, on Friday, the appointment of Portuguese Ruben Amorim as coach of the first team, succeeding Dutchman Erik Ten Hag.

The club said in a statement: "The young coach will sign a contract that extends until June 2027, with the option to extend for an additional year."

It is noteworthy that Amorim will not start his mission immediately, but will be forced to remain with his current team, Sporting Lisbon, Portugal, until the start of the next international break.
