The Applied College of Science and Technology in Dhamar celebrated on Saturday the graduation of 157 students from the departments of "Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Dental Assistant, and Midwifery".
During the ceremony, Dhamar province governors Mahmoud Al-Jabeen and Mohammed Abdul-Razzaq reviewed the role of higher education institutions in preparing qualified and trained graduates capable of contributing to development efforts and meeting the requirements of the labor market.
They pointed to the successes achieved by academic institutions despite the conditions of aggression , blockade, and considered the achievements of universities, colleges and institutes no less important than the victories achieved by the armed forces in various fronts of honor and heroism.
At the ceremony, in the presence of the head of Dhamar General Hospital, Dr. Hamoud Al-Moshki, the Dean of the College, Dr. Fayez Al-Harouji, called on the graduates to assume the responsibility entrusted to them to serve the community and alleviate its suffering, contribute to the health sector, and observe the graduation oath they swore to themselves by dealing humanely, professionally and ethically with the sick cases that come to them, taking into account the economic and living situation that society suffers from.
He praised the efforts of the educational , administrative staff at the college, and the role of parents in reaching this graduation, which represents the beginning of a new stage by moving from the learning stage to the field work stage, and translating the scientific knowledge they received on the ground.
At the ceremony, which was attended by Dr. Hussein Jaim and Dr. Hamid Al-Khodr, vice deans of the college, the graduates delivered speeches praising the efforts of the academic staff for their educational efforts.
They emphasized their keenness to assume the trust and responsibility to serve the health sector, contribute effectively in alleviating the pains and diseases faced by society, and translate the governmental directives aimed at improving the performance of this vital and important sector.
