The Chairman of the General Corporation for Cement Industry and Marketing, Yahya Atifah, along with his deputy Ali Al-Ahnoumi, inspected today the production capacity at the Bajil Cement Plant in Hodeida Governorate.
Atifah and Al-Ahnoumi observed the operational process in the material hangars, raw, coal, and clinker mills, as well as the mechanical manufacturing procedures involved, starting from cutting and crushing limestone at the quarry, to grinding, burning, packaging, and monitoring and control using the latest scientific methods.
They were briefed by the plant manager, Engineer Faisal Abdu Ahmed, and his deputies Faisal Hammam and Dr. Mohammed Al-Khudir, along with specialists, on the current activities at the plant. The plant now operates with a dry method and a coal system, producing 2,500 tons per day.
Atifah praised the efforts of Bajil Cement Plant’s staff for restarting the production line, stabilizing the operational process, and supplying the local market with high-quality cement.
He emphasized the importance of regulating crusher operations according to the existing operational systems to ensure the quality and measurements of raw materials entering the mills, thereby enhancing milling efficiency.
The Chairman also highlighted that the cement industry is crucial for driving development and supporting the national economy. It is essential to focus on reducing production costs, increasing production capacity, and maintaining the safety of equipment and machinery.
He pointed out the Corporation’s commitment to encouraging active staff who significantly impact production and to staying up-to-date with advancements in cement manufacturing.
