Today, the Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, distributed thirty sewing machines, along with their accessories, to displaced women as part of the economic empowerment project.
The project targeted thirty displaced women from the districts of Al-Zaher, Nati’, and Al-Wahabiyah, implemented by the Sustainable Development Foundation in coordination with the local branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, and funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
During the distribution event, attended by Deputy Governors Abdullah Al-Jamali and Saleh Al-Mansouri, Governor Idris emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering women through these programs and projects, which aim to provide economically vulnerable families with job opportunities, develop their skills, and equip them with income-generating abilities.
He affirmed the local authority's support for such projects that contribute to improving the standard of living for beneficiaries, especially among displaced, poor, and highly vulnerable families in Al-Zaher, Nati’, and Al-Wahabiyah.
The governor praised the role of active organizations and institutions in implementing these projects, stressing the importance of expanding initiatives that address the needs of targeted families.
