The National Centre for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted sporadic rainfall in parts of several governorates and cold weather in seven governorates over the next 24 hours.
The centre said in its weather bulletin that it expects sporadic rains accompanied by thunder sometimes on parts of Taiz, Ibb, Rima, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Saada and Socotra archipelago, and on parts of the highlands, the Tihama Plain and the southern and eastern coasts.
He pointed out that the weather is likely to be cold during the night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda and the heights of Ibb and Al-Dhale'.
He reported that the amount of rain that fell during the past 24 hours, measured at the meteorological stations in the Socotra archipelago: 3.6 mm, Ibb: 2.5 mm, and sporadic rain fell outside the range of the stations on parts of the inner plateaus and the Tihama Plain.
The centre warned citizens against being in the valleys and torrential streams during and after the rains, and the low horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to rain or fog.
The centre also warned the elderly, children and workers during the night and early morning hours in the mountainous heights of the cold weather.
