The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine on Wednesday condemned recent statements from the White House claiming that Israel has taken measures to address U.S. demands regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The Front described these statements as "rude lies" aimed at concealing ongoing Israeli occupation crimes against the people of Gaza.
In a press statement, the Popular Front stressed that these remarks reflect the U.S. administration's continued role in supporting the genocide and the systematic war of starvation being waged against the people of Gaza.
The Front emphasized that such statements are not new, pointing out that since October 7, 2023, the U.S. has issued dozens of false claims to absolve Israel of its war crimes against Palestinian civilians, while simultaneously providing the occupying entity with internationally banned weapons and political cover for its actions.
The Popular Front further highlighted that these American statements directly contradict the findings of U.S.-based humanitarian organizations, which have confirmed that Israel has failed to meet its legal obligations to provide adequate relief to civilians in Gaza.
Instead, Israel has been actively blocking humanitarian aid, exacerbating the suffering of the population and pushing Gaza to the brink of famine, with approximately 800,000 Palestinians now facing dire conditions.
The statement also questioned why American humanitarian organizations have not held the U.S. administration accountable for its role in sustaining the policy of starvation against Gaza, especially since the U.S. can clearly observe the actions of its Israeli allies.
The Popular Front called for a renewed mobilization of the American public to pressure the U.S. government to cease its support for Israeli war crimes and the ongoing starvation of Palestinians.
It also urged universities, unions, and progressive organizations to rise up once more against U.S. backing for Israeli actions, demanding an end to the crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian people.
