The Yemeni Oil Company branch in Taiz province on Thursday held a solemn ceremony to honor the families of martyrs who were members of the company's workforce.
The event, attended by prominent figures including Taiz province Undersecretary Mohammed al-Hussaini, Deputy Director General of the Oil Company for Commercial Affairs Dr. Rami Hanab, and Taiz Oil Company Branch Director Zaki Abdujabbar, paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the defense of Yemen.
In his speech, Deputy Director of the Taiz branch Majid al-Qatani emphasized the significance of honoring the martyrs' families, highlighting that such gestures have become a cherished annual tradition, reflecting the nation's commitment to remembering those who gave their lives for the country's security and independence.
He described martyrdom as the ultimate sacrifice and urged the public to draw inspiration from the martyrs’ courage and steadfastness.
Fahmi al-Saqqaf, representing the families of the martyrs, expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, acknowledging the importance of these tributes in the context of ongoing national victories.
He also stressed the vital role of these martyrs in the fight against external enemies and their local agents.
The event culminated with a visit to the Martyrs' Garden (Al-Sammad) in al-Hawban, where participants recited al-Fatiha in honor of the fallen heroes. The ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by Yemen’s martyrs and their families.
