The Social Unit and the Tribal Affairs Authority in Taiz province held a ceremony today marking the anniversary of the martyr, under the theme "Martyrdom is a gift that God meets with a gift."
The event, which took place in the presence of Shura Council member Abdulwasie Zahal, Province's Deputy Mohammed al-Hussaini, and other dignitaries, featured speeches honoring the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Taiz undersecretary Abdullah al-Amir highlighted that the martyrs are the foundation of the nation, whose sacrifices shattered the enemies' conspiracies. He emphasized that their blood, shed in the face of injustice and brutality, has brought honor, dignity, and victory to the people of Yemen.
Al-Amir stressed that the commemoration serves as a message to the forces of aggression and their supporters, affirming Yemen's resistance to external threats. He described the martyrs as symbols of glory and selflessness who fought to defend the nation’s honor and faith.
Saqr al-Jundi, who also spoke at the event, emphasized the importance of annually remembering the martyrs for their ultimate sacrifice in upholding the nation’s security and sovereignty.
The ceremony was attended by the head of the Social Unit in Taiz, Hamis al-Habbari, along with several local leaders, military officials, and members of the community.
