The Ministry of Health and Environment provided road traffic police stations on the "Sana'a-Hodeida" line with three ambulances to support and enhance traffic safety.
The Director General of the Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that this step came in light of the outcomes of the meeting with the Minister of Public Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shaiban last week and within the framework of the mechanism of cooperation and joint coordination to enhance traffic safety on long roads between governorates.
He praised the interest and cooperation of the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Environment and its interaction with the requirements of the road traffic police plan and its participation in the cars required for the first phase in a way that enables it to perform the tasks entrusted to it in providing "charity, rescue and ambulance" services on the Sana'a-Hodeidah line and contributing to preserving people's lives and property.
Dr. Al-Barashi expressed his aspiration to expand areas of cooperation with the Ministry of Health to include training traffic personnel in the field of first aid, as well as supporting the health unit in the General Directorate of Traffic with the necessary medical equipment, medicines and first aid supplies.
He pointed to the need to integrate efforts to implement the matrix of the traffic development plan in line with the aspirations of the government of change and construction and within the framework of the interest of the leadership of the Ministry of Interior to improve the level of performance of traffic services provided to citizens.
It is noteworthy that preparations and preparations are currently underway to implement the second phase of the deployment of road traffic police in the Sana'a-Taiz line and the Sana'a-Saada line in coordination with the concerned and relevant authorities with the aim of expanding the level of humanitarian and ambulance services for road users.
