Information Ministry and its affiliated institutions organized on Saturday a speech and honorary event for the media martyrs' families , on the occasion of the martyr anniversary 1446 AH.
At the event, First Deputy Prime Minister Allama Mohammed Muftah saluted the knights of the media who sacrificed their lives cheaply in transmitting the image, word, video and heroic epics of the Yemenis in the aggression forces' face in various fronts of pride and dignity, praising the sacrifices of the media martyrs' families and the steadfastness of media professionals.

"Today, the media has a great mission in conveying the sacrifices made by the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples in the face of the Zionist enemy," he said.
"None of the peoples of the region have made the same sacrifices as the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, except for the Yemenis, who have sacrificed community leaders and many martyrs in order to defend the land, width and sovereignty," he added.
"In the government, we have a wide and large empowerment program in which the martyrs' families will be a priority," Muftah said, expressing thanks to the Martyrs' Family Welfare Committee and all concerned parties supporting the martyrs' families who deserve care and attention in recognition of the sacrifices of their families in defense of Yemen, its sovereignty and independence.
At the event, which was attended by Information Minister Hashim Sharafuddin, Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti pointed out the importance of commemorating the martyrs' anniversary to immortalize the heroism of the martyrs and their exploits in the face of the US, Saudi and Emirati aggression.
"The sons of the martyrs are leading the current stage based on their sense of responsibility , the size of the sacrifices made in defense of the homeland , in light of the challenges and conspiracies it is going through by the forces of global hegemony and arrogance led by America, Britain and the Zionist entity," he said.
Dr. Al-Bukhaiti urged everyone, including the government and private media, to join forces and work in a unified path to confront the schemes of the Zionist, American and British enemy.
"Our consolation for the martyrs is that they gave their lives cheaply for the sake of God, fighting the enemies, whom God warned us about, and we in Yemen thank God for making us mujahideen who fight for the sake of God, killing , being killed, and those who wait for one of the two senses, either victory or martyrdom," he said.
He added, "How great is martyrdom in the way of God and confronting the Jews and Christians," stressing that the families of the martyrs stand by the revolutionary leadership in making strategic choices against the Zionist, American and British enemy.
