Zhuhai - Saba:
The Director General of Russia's Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheyev, confirmed on Sunday that the arms export contracts signed during 2024 reached a record level of $55 billion.
The company's order portfolio in recent years was estimated at about $50 billion, Sputnik quoted Mikheyev as saying on the sidelines of the “Airshow China 2024” aviation and space exhibition, which concluded in the Chinese city of Zhuhai.
He explained that the contracts concluded since the beginning of 2024 included military products and civilian technologies to support the armed forces and security agencies in partner countries.
The portfolio includes well-known and proven Russian equipment, as well as new technologies from the Russian Defense Industrial Complex, he added.
Earlier this week, Rosoboronexport announced the signing of the first export contracts for the export version of the Su-57E fighter jet with friendly countries on the sidelines of the exhibition.
