German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock hinted on Tuesday at the possibility of executing the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court against Prime Minister of the Zionist enemy Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits Germany.
Baerbock said in her statements on the sidelines of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Group of Seven major industrialized countries in the Italian city of Fiuggi, that "the federal government is committed to the law because no one is above the law."
Baerbock stressed the independence of the judiciary, which in this case reached the conclusion that there is enough evidence to take this step now.
On Monday, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced his country's commitment to follow due legal procedures if Netanyahu visits the United Kingdom, in implementation of the arrest warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court.
Earlier, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that the G7 countries are seeking to take a unified position on the arrest warrant against Netanyahu.
Tajani added at the beginning of the meeting of foreign ministers of the group's countries, "We need to unite on this matter."
Under the Rome Statute, the founding treaty of the International Criminal Court, member states are obliged to cooperate fully with each other, including in the execution of arrest warrants issued by it, as this cooperation is essential to the success of its work and the fight against impunity.
