Prices of basic foods in Gaza Strip have hiked over 1,000 percent, in comparison to prewar rates, the World Food Programme said on Sunday.
In a statement published by the UN on its website, the WFP sheds lights on starvation and risks posed by the Israeli persistent war and siege imposed on the Palestinians in Gaza, the North in particular.
Hunger crisis is worsening across Gaza Strip, with rocketing prices of foods, the WFP added.
The ongoing military operation in Gaza Strip led to the displacement of 130,000 people over the last 7 weeks, UNRWA General Commissionaire, Fylyb Lazaryny, said in the statement.
