Gaza - Saba:
Hamas has called on the Council of Arab Health Ministers in its 61st session, hosted by the Republic of Iraq, to adopt urgent practical decisions and plans to save the health sector and hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
The movement demanded in a press statement Thursday evening to pressure the Zionist enemy by all means to bring field hospitals with all their specialties and medical staff to the entire Gaza Strip.
It also called for the unification of all efforts and capabilities of Arab health ministers to take urgent steps, especially by enabling the wounded and patients with serious conditions to travel abroad to receive appropriate treatment, and save their lives from slow death.
The movement stressed the importance of working and coordinating with the World Health Organization, and all medical and humanitarian organizations around the world, in order to adopt urgent plans to save the health sector system in the Gaza Strip, and to provide all possibilities and capabilities to continue performing its humanitarian role.
Hamas appreciated the speech of the Chairman of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, during the opening of the session, in which he stressed "the importance of paying attention and necessity to supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza as they suffer from the collapse of the health sector and the loss of care and treatment, under the pressure of aggression and siege."
It warned that the exit of all hospitals in the Gaza Strip from service, and their lack of the most basic medical capabilities, with the increasing number of wounded, injured and sick, and the continuation of the Zionist aggression and targeting of health sector workers, and the lack of all the components of human life from food, medicine and fuel, portends an increase in the number of deaths, especially among the wounded, injured and sick children, women and the elderly.
