Ministry of Justice, Human Rights celebrates IHRD by reviewing violations of coalition against Yemeni people

Sana'a - Saba:

The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights commemorated today in Sana'a the 76th anniversary of International Human Rights Day (IHRD) with a speech event focused on the human rights violations that the Yemeni people have been subjected to for a decade as a result of aggression and blockade.

In his speech, Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi noted that the world is celebrating this occasion while the Yemeni people are suffering from grave crimes at the hands of the Saudi-Emirati coalition with US, British, and Zionist support. Civilians, including women and children, have been targeted, infrastructure destroyed, and a comprehensive siege has led to immense human suffering.

The Prime Minister also denounced the double standards of international human rights, likening what is currently happening in Gaza to the genocide, starvation, and siege that Yemen has faced, considering that the international community ignores these crimes under the pretext of "self-defense."

Al-Rahwi stressed that the government of change and construction continues to improve the human rights situation internally, pointing to the efforts made to improve prison conditions and ensure humane treatment of detainees, compared to the torture and humiliation suffered by Yemeni prisoners by the coalition.

The Prime Minister announced full documentation of the crimes committed against the Yemeni people in audio and video, stressing that Yemenis have become steadfast and victorious over the ongoing aggression.

Al-Rahwi concluded by stressing the government's commitment to strengthening the human rights situation in Yemen despite the challenges, accusing Western powers of double standards and pursuing policies of hegemony and repression under the umbrella of human rights.
