Salfit - Saba:
Settlers set fire to mosque in Marda village, north of Salfit, at dawn on Friday.
Local sources reported to the Palestinian News Agency "Wafa" that settlers stormed the eastern area of the village at dawn and burned the Bar al-Walid Mosque and wrote racist slogans on its walls.
The sources added that the residents were able to control the fire before it spread to the entire mosque, as the damage was limited to its entrance only.
For his part, the Director of Salfit Endowments, Sheikh Othman al-Din, condemned this criminal act of attacking a house of God, and called on the residents to be careful for fear of repeating this cowardly act by terrorist settlers.
The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs called on the international community and human rights organizations to condemn these heinous acts and hold those responsible accountable.
The Ministry of Endowments documented in its monthly report on the violations of the occupation and its settlers against places of worship, for the month of November, 20 raids on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the prevention of the call to prayer in the Ibrahimi Mosque 55 times.
During the same period, the occupation forces demolished the Al-Shiyah Mosque in the town of Jabal Al-Mukaber in occupied Jerusalem, noting that it had been built for 20 years, and settlers desecrated the Khirbet Marah Al-Baqar Mosque in the town of Dura in the Hebron Governorate.
The occupation forces also damaged the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in the Nour Shams Camp, and the Al-Shuhada Mosque in the Tulkarm Camp, and demolished a prayer hall for the Arab Al-Ara'ra community near the town of Jaba' east of Jerusalem, and part of a settlement for the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in the Far'a Camp in the Tubas Governorate.
