Occupied al-Quds- Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas confirmed on Friday that the burning of a mosque by Zionist settlers in the village of Marda, north of Salfit represents a dangerous escalation against Islamic sanctities, and falls within the escalating crimes and war of extermination against the sons of the Palestinian people.
Leader of the movement Abdulhakim Hanini stressed in a statement that that "the repeated burning of mosques in the West Bank, which coincides with the increase in the pace of settlers' storming of al-Aqsa, is additional evidence of the brutality of the criminal Zionist enemy, and its fascist practices, as a result of the provocative policies adopted by the extremist occupation government."
He pointed out that "the racist steps taken by settlers against mosques and Islamic sanctities require strong action to deter them from these provocative actions, and will be met with strikes by the resistance that will not remain silent about the violation of the sanctity of our mosques and sanctities."
He continued "The insistence of the occupation and settlers to continue their crimes in the West Bank and al-Quds will turn against them with more anger and confrontation, as our people will remain attached to their land and defend their dignity no matter how great the sacrifices."
It is noteworthy that scenes documented by surveillance cameras showed the moment three masked settlers infiltrated Bar al-Walid Mosque in the village of Marda, north of Salfit, and wrote racist slogans, in addition to pouring a flammable substance on its gate and burning it.
