Moscow - Saba:
The terrorist attack on the Russian commander of radiant protection force, Gen. Igor Kirilov, raises concerns, the Hungarian foreign minister said on Saturday, as such steps could hinder efforts to reach peace in Ukraine.
"Because we want peace in Ukraine, and we want to avoid and risk of escalation, we consider these issues of concern," Peter Szijjarto added, "why? Because all these steps bear risk of escalation."
If escalation occurs before 20 January, this could have very negative impact on chances to reach peace as soon as possible after the US president inauguration, he warned.
Budapest's offer to hold peace negotiation on the Ukrainian crisis in Hungary is still valid, the Hungarian top diplomat said.
