The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects cold and very cold weather to continue in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects cold weather during the day to very cold during the night and early morning in the governorates of Al Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran and Sa'ada.
While the weather will be relatively cold during the day to cold during the night and early morning hours in the highlands of the governorates of Al Mahwit, Hajjah, Raymah, Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhale'e, Lahj, Abyan and the highlands and deserts of the governorates of Al Mahrah, Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Marib and Al Jawf.
According to the center, the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological stations this morning were: 0.3 in Dhamar - Rasaba, 1 in Al-Bayda - Dhi Naim, 3 in Amran, 3.4 in Sana'a, 8 in Al-Mahwit, 9.2 in Seiyun, 9.4 in Hajjah.
He called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the late night and early morning hours, to take the necessary measures to protect themselves from the extremely cold weather.
He urged farmers to take the necessary precautions and advised them to follow the instructions to protect their crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry farmers to protect them from the effects of the extreme cold.
