The Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit, in coordination with the local authority in Haifan district, Taiz Governorate, launched the disbursement of the first batch of the second phase to support community initiatives projects in the field of roads.
1,600 bags of cement and 2,000 liters of diesel were provided to support nine community projects aimed at repairing, expanding, and paving roads in remote areas.
Eng. Badr Al-Din Al-Tayyar, representative of the unit, stressed that these initiatives come within its priorities to support disadvantaged areas and motivate local communities to work on development, pointing to the unit's readiness to support more community initiatives.
For his part, the Director of the Directorate Abdul Rahman Al-Ariqi explained the importance of this support in promoting local development and alleviating the suffering of the population, praising the interaction of the people of the Directorate to implement projects despite the terrain challenges, and called for the speed of implementation of projects to ensure continued support in the coming stages.
