Sana'a - Saba:
The Shura Council affirmed that the Israeli terrorist aggression on Sana’a International Airport, the Hizyaz power station in the capital, the Ras Katheeb power station, and the Ras Issa oil port in Hodeida province constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a war crime targeting civilian objects and facilities protected under international law.
In a statement issued today, the council strongly condemned the continued flagrant violations of international conventions by the occupying Israeli entity, specifically the targeting of the terminal and passenger lounges at Sana’a International Airport during the presence of dozens of travelers and their relatives, as well as during the arrival of a civilian Yemenia Airways flight. The attacks on power stations and ports, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of civilians, were also denounced.
The statement pointed out that the attack on the airport coincided with the departure of the Director-General of the World Health Organization and his accompanying delegation from Sana’a and the injury of a member of the UN aircraft crew. This unequivocally demonstrates the lack of regard the United Nations now holds against the brutal policies of the Israeli enemy.
The council considered the aggression a manifestation of the Israeli enemy's criminal tendencies and its disregard for civilian lives. The actions are part of a broader Zionist terrorism campaign in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, executed with the support of the United States and Britain, aiming to subjugate regional states under Zionist control, divide them, and exploit their resources and wealth.
The statement also highlighted that Israel’s terrorist attacks on Yemen reflect the temporary entity’s inability and total failure to counter Yemen’s ballistic missiles and drones, which continue to target occupied cities in support of the Palestinian people. These actions undermine the so-called Israeli deterrence myth.
The statement emphasized that Zionist terrorism will neither weaken the determination nor break the resolve of the Yemeni people, who remain confident in God’s promise of victory. Despite the great sacrifices, Yemen will continue its sacred struggle and the anticipated victory to support the oppressed Palestinian people and their just cause.
The council reaffirmed its full support and endorsement of all steps taken by the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the armed forces to deter Zionist arrogance and continue military operations deep within the enemy’s territory until its aggression and unjust blockade of Gaza cease.
The Shura Council called on associations of councils of senators, Shura members, and similar legislative assemblies in Africa and the Arab world to confront Zionist escalation during their proceedings, denounce its flagrant aggression against civilian objects and facilities in Yemen, and demand that the international community condemn these actions and act to curb Israeli arrogance, which threatens international peace and security in the region.
