A meeting in Sana'a today, chaired by the Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, discussed the report on the pollution of Banaa Valley in Ibb Governorate with sewage, waste, and diseases resulting from the pollution of the valley's waterways.

The meeting, which included a member of the local council in the Al-Nadirah District in Ibb, Dr. Aref Al-Zamzami, reviewed the contents of the report prepared by the Director General of Biodiversity at the General Authority for Environmental Protection, Eng. Abdullah Abu Al-Fath, on the sources of pollution and the diseases it causes and the recommendations in this regard.

In the meeting, Minister Shaiban stressed the need to pay attention to addressing the effects of pollution.. expressing his readiness to cooperate and coordinate with various government agencies to address the causes of the sources of pollution that have harmed human health and the environment.

He also stressed the need to enhance community awareness and activate community initiatives on the importance of preserving the environment and removing sources of pollution in Wadi Bana to preserve the environment and prevent the spread of diseases and epidemics.
