Hodeida - Saba:
A training course on the basics of voluntary work and community initiatives for 57 trainees from various coastal areas in Hodeida province concluded on Saturday.
The course, organized by Bunyan Development Foundation and Tihama Coast Fish Cooperative Association, with the support of the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the province, and in cooperation with the Red Sea Fisheries Authority, aimed to provide participants with basic concepts about voluntary work, development, development resources and community initiatives.
At the conclusion of the program, Hodeida Governor Abdullah Atifi considered the rehabilitation of local cadres, within the Knights of Development program, an important step towards developing the community, achieving the public interest, and reaching the stage of self-sufficiency, especially in light of the challenges that Yemen is going through.
Atifi stressed the importance of volunteer training programs in activating cooperative work and motivating community efforts to participate in the implementation of self-initiatives. He called for concerted efforts to implement the directives of the Revolution Leader , which he emphasizes in all his speeches on paying attention to local development and embodying the Yemeni identity in promoting the values of giving.
He urged capacity building, which is a key pillar to move the wheel of development, through community initiative projects and community involvement in providing service needs. He emphasized the importance of the role of development knights in raising awareness and training their communities' members in teamwork.
The Deputy Chairman of the Fisheries Authority, Abdulmalik Sabra, urged the participants in the course to launch real initiative projects to move towards local development and translate the revolutionary leadership's and the Supreme Political Council's directives .
For his part, Mohammed Najeeb, President of the Tihama Coast Association, praised the great efforts of Bunyan Academy for Training , Qualification, and its continuous cooperation in the field of capacity building for the association and its branches, in order to enhance the development aspects and raise the capacities of volunteers in various coastal areas.
