The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected cold and very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects very cold weather during the night and early morning hours in the governorates of Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran and Sa'ada.
While the weather will be cold in the governorates of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit and the highlands of the governorates of Ibb, Taiz, Al-Dhale'e, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, western Al-Jawf and Marib.
The center reported that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological monitoring stations this morning were as follows: Dhamar: 1.5, Amran: 1.6, Al-Bayda: 2.1, Sana'a: 3.2, Al-Mahwit: 9.2 degrees Celsius.
It warned citizens in the mountainous highlands of cold and very cold weather during the night and early morning hours.
He called on farmers to take the necessary precautions to protect crops in the aforementioned governorates from the extremely cold weather.
