The General Corporation for Roads and Bridges on Monday organized a ceremony to honor its distinguished leaders for their exceptional performance in the field.
In his speech, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Quhaim emphasized that honoring the directors of maintenance, projects, and bridges in the corporation is a recognition of all the workers in this pioneering organization, which has made significant progress in road, bridge, and construction projects.
He noted that despite the aggression's efforts to disrupt Yemen's road and bridge network, the corporation has persevered, contributing to the nation's development.
Quhaim pointed out that the successes achieved in the field of roads and bridges reflect the legendary steadfastness of the Yemeni people and their leadership. He also highlighted that Yemen, despite being over two thousand kilometers away from Palestine, has consistently supported the Palestinian cause, standing firm in defending the issues of the Arab and Islamic world.
The minister further emphasized that the employees of the corporation are part of the steadfast Yemeni people, who have confronted the aggression with courage and determination, achieving victories across various sectors.
He praised the performance, discipline, and dedication shown by the leadership of the General Roads Corporation and the Road Maintenance Fund in implementing numerous projects over the past years, which serve as a source of pride for the nation.
Chairman of the General Roads and Bridges Corporation Eng. Abdulrahman al-Hadrami acknowledged the challenges faced in recent years due to the aggression and siege, noting noted that thanks to God, the corporation overcame these difficulties.
Al-Hadrami mentioned that by the end of 2024, the corporation had managed to support its fleet with new equipment and achieved numerous field successes in partnership with the Road Maintenance Fund. He also praised the efforts of all the employees of the institution and the fund for their contributions.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Quhaim honored Directors of Maintenance Engineer Abdulqader Badi; Projects, Engineer Sadiq Al-Jurbani; and Bridges and Construction, Engineer Adnan Ibrahim, in recognition of their efforts and outstanding performance.
