The acting governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, inaugurated on Tuesday and laid the foundation stone for service projects in Shar'ab Al-Rouna district in the fields of roads, water and health.
Al-Masawi, along with the governor's deputy Noureddine Al-Marani, deputy Mohammed Nayef, the province's security director, Brigadier General Shukri Mahyoub, the province's mobilization officer, Mohammed Al-Khalidi, and the director of the directorate, Sadiq Al-Humairi, inaugurated 15 service projects in Shar'ab Al-Rouna district in the field of water, roads and health at a total cost of 389 million and 728 thousand riyals, funded by the local authority in the province, the Central Emergency Intervention Unit, and community contributions.
These projects included the implementation of 11 water projects - drilling artesian wells, building water tanks, rehabilitating a number of other water projects with solar energy systems, and extending an iron network, at a cost of 175 million and 119 thousand riyals, funded by the local authority, the Central Emergency Intervention Unit, donor funding and community contribution.
The acting governor of Taiz also laid the foundation stone for the second phase of the maintenance and asphalting of the main line of the district center, at a total cost of 116 million riyals funded by the local authority.
He was accompanied by the director of the works sector in the province, Engineer Bakil Hamid, the director of the executive unit, Hussam Al-Fatash, and the representative of the Central Interventions Unit in Taiz and Lahj provinces, Badr Al-Tayyar.
Al-Masawi and his entourage met with dignitaries, sheikhs and officials of the directorate to familiarize themselves with the conditions and concerns of citizens.
In the meeting, he emphasized the importance of uniting everyone's efforts , continuous coordination, and strengthening alignment and steadfastness in the face of the enemies.
He urged to mobilize and be ready to face all the challenges facing the country and seek to undermine its security and independence.
Al-Masawi urged everyone to strengthen cohesion and alignment for the sake of the nation, pointing out that the Israeli enemy seeks to target Yemen in various ways as part of its criminal plans.
"We want people to be strong and go towards more cooperative, agricultural and service work in all fields, as we are in front of an opportunity to sharpen our spirits and reject any infiltrated elements that stir up trouble , division in our society, we have to be careful and constantly vigilant," he said, adding that the acting governor explained that the province is now reorganizing itself properly without any criminal plans.
