Ibb - Saba:
An expanded meeting in the Sabra district in Ibb province discussed on Wednesday ways to activate the Sabra Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association , elect a new administrative body , a monitoring and inspection committee.
In the meeting, the director of the directorate, Hamid Al-Mutawakel, stressed that this meeting comes within the framework of the project to enhance community participation , establish and activate agricultural cooperative societies with the funding of the Agricultural , Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, in coordination with development partners. He pointed out that the association now includes all the district of the directorate.
For his part, the representative of the Bunyan Development Foundation, Mansour Ghadeer, stressed the importance of carefully selecting the association's cadres to ensure the implementation of specialized training programs in planning and managing development projects based on community participation and resistant economy, to achieve self-sufficiency.
Amjad Baydan, head of the cooperative union branch in the province, pointed out the importance of promoting local production to reduce the import bill. He praised the cooperation of the local authority and community leaders with the association and expanding the scope of its work.
The Deputy Director of the Social Affairs Office, Ismail Al-Muayyad, emphasized the need to feel responsibility and work as one team to achieve the association's goals.
During the meeting, a new administrative body and a monitoring and inspection committee were elected for the association, under the supervision of the Social Affairs Office.
