The local authority in Taiz Province commemorated on Thursday the fourth anniversary of the death of Sahl Ibrahim bin Aqeel, the Mufti of Taiz province, with a speech event.
At the event, member of the Supreme Political Council Sultan Al-Samie pointed out the importance of commemorating the death anniversary of Sahl bin Aqeel, who was a great scholar, ascetic, mujahid and revolutionary against injustice, tyranny and the forces of aggression, hegemony and domination.
At the event, which was attended by Acting Governor Ahmed Amin Al-Masawi and President of the Taiz Court of Appeals Judge Fawaz Al-Maqtari, he explained that the deceased was a school from which everyone learns the meanings of steadfastness, patience, jihad, dreaming and the values of the true Islamic religion.
He stressed the need to preserve the unity of Yemen and its social fabric, citing what the deceased used to repeat in his speeches that the bereaved, orphans, Yemen and its unity are in the necks of all Yemenis.
For his part, Judge Alawi Sahl bin Aqeel, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council - Mufti of the province, reviewed some of the exploits of his father, Allama Sahl bin Aqeel, who spared no effort in serving the country and the province in particular, especially in the field of education, advocacy and diligence.
"Allama Sahl bin Aqeel spread useful knowledge in various provinces, and Taiz province had a special status in this aspect," he said, noting that the commemoration of the fourth anniversary of his father's death comes to renew loyalty and benefit from his great exploits.
He explained that Allamah bin Aqeel is present with his revolutionary spirit and the secrets of his blessings at the level of his family, his students and his community, pointing out that the commemoration of this anniversary inspires everyone to be inspired by the revolutionary approach that the late deceased was known for.
"Allama Sahl bin Aqeel lived as a human being, a divine scientist and a politician imbued with Qur'anic awareness , insight, , his knowledge and mysticism represented a volcano in the face of oppression and tyranny," said Allama Musa.
For his part, Dr. Nashwan Al-Wajeeh touched on the roles of the deceased Allama Sahl bin Aqeel in reconciliation, addressing societal issues and expressing the concerns of the weak and the poor.
He stated that the deceased was a truth-teller and one of the first mujahideen when the flags of guidance emerged in the Qur'anic march project.
