Brisbane - Saba:
Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the world number one, was crowned the Brisbane Tennis Tournament title on Sunday, after defeating Russia's Polina Kudermetova (107th) 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
According to AFP, Sabalenka defeated the world number 107 by two sets to one, in one hour and 47 minutes.
Sabalenka made up for losing last year's final, when she fell to Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina in two sets.
Sabalenka clinched her 18th career title, including 16 on hard courts, and is ready to defend her title for a third consecutive season at the Australian Open, when she competes in the tournament next week.
Sabalenka has continued her success on Australian soil, winning two Australian Open titles in Melbourne, one in Adelaide and one in Brisbane this year.
