Sana'a - Saba:
For the third consecutive day, Gaza Governorate is experiencing bloody days, as a result of the escalation of the Zionist enemy army's genocide and ethnic cleansing operations in it, as the enemy has expanded since last Thursday the scope of the holocaust that it began in the north on October 5, 2024, to extend southward, including Gaza Governorate.
This systematic targeting threatens a significant increase in the number of martyrs, given the large population density in Gaza Governorate, which currently includes about 550 thousand people representing about a quarter of the population of the Strip, including about 180 thousand who were forcibly displaced from the northern governorate, as a result of three months of the Zionist holocaust against the Gazans, according to warnings from observers.
This is what actually began to appear in the numbers issued by medical sources, as 184 citizens were martyred, including children and women, and dozens were injured, in 94 raids and shelling launched by the occupation during the past 72 hours.
Since yesterday, Saturday, more than 45 Palestinian citizens have been martyred during the genocide operations in Gaza Governorate alone.
The Zionist enemy warplanes have intensified their airstrikes targeting entire residential blocks, which led to the destruction of buildings over the heads of their residents, and the martyrdom and injury of dozens of Palestinians, and there are still many missing under the rubble.
With the start of the aggression in Gaza Governorate, Palestinians fear being forced to move to the Al-Mawasi area, which the Zionist enemy calls for people to go to, despite its suffering from a severe shortage of basic necessities of life.
The Al-Mawasi area extends from the west of Rafah city to the west of Deir al-Balah city (center) and Khan Yunis city (south), and people are being displaced to it via the sea and Salah al-Din roads, amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions that exacerbate the suffering of the residents who face harsh conditions and daily difficulties in obtaining the necessary needs.
Since October 6, the Zionist enemy forces have launched a large-scale ground operation that began in Jabalia camp and extended to the rest of the northern Gaza Strip, and hospitals there are facing systematic targeting, and have been falling one after the other.
Hospitals are one of the most prominent features of life everywhere, and the enemy aims to destroy them and put them out of service until it turns the north into disaster-stricken and uninhabitable areas, according to analysts.
From the beginning, the Zionist enemy's goal behind its systematic crimes against hospitals was to push the remaining residents of the north towards displacement, and to empty it completely.
As part of the policy of systematic targeting of the health system, in addition to bombing and destruction, the Zionist enemy employs the weapon of siege in order to destroy this system, as it prevents medicine from reaching Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, and obstructs the arrival of medical crews, in an attempt to kill and destroy.
With Kamal Adwan Hospital out of service, "the medical system in the north has completely collapsed, while Gaza City does not seem to be in a better condition, as there are no government hospitals there, but only four private hospitals, the most prominent of which is the Baptist, and they do not provide all the medical services necessary to deal with the repercussions of the war, such as specialized surgeries."
Since the first moments of the outbreak of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, health sector workers have been the focus of direct targeting. According to data from the government media office, the Zionist enemy killed more than 1,050 medical staff, arrested more than 310, assassinated three doctors, put 34 hospitals and 80 health centers out of service, and targeted 134 ambulances.
The Zionist enemy aims to completely eliminate the health system in the Strip as part of the policy of genocide, which is being practiced against approximately 2 million and 400 thousand Palestinians in the Strip, according to Palestinian sources.
Since the beginning of the war of extermination that it has been waging on the Gaza Strip for the second year in a row, the Zionist enemy has been systematically and regularly targeting the infrastructure of the health system, assassinating, wounding and arresting hundreds of doctors and health sector workers, with the aim of completing the series of extermination of the Gazans, as well as following a systematic policy to starve the besieged Gaza Strip.
In this regard, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has warned that its relief operations may be paralyzed in the Palestinian territories with the approaching implementation of the Zionist ban on its work at the end of this January.
The agency stated in an official statement via its account on the "X" platform: "Time is passing quickly, with the possibility of banning the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) from providing basic services to millions of Palestinian refugees in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Quds .
Thus, the signs of disaster loom in Gaza City, after the completion of the genocide in the north, and the health system has completely collapsed, with consequences that will extend beyond the borders of the Strip, in reference to the spread of diseases and epidemics.
Previously, the head of the International Commission to Support the Rights of the Palestinian People, Dr. Salah Abdel-Ati, did not rule out that the chapters of this destructive scenario would extend to Gaza City, and its features began today with the bombing of the Baptist and Al-Wafa hospitals, and perhaps one of the goals of this is to impose complete dominance over the northern Gaza Strip and bring about a demographic change, and complete the plan for the expanded buffer zone, in preparation for settlement and investment projects.
