Washington-Saba:
The US House of Representatives, on the evening of the fifth, approved a bill calling for sanctions against officials of the International Criminal Court, which earlier issued arrest warrants for Zionist officials.
According to US media, the bill states that arrest warrants targeting Zionist officials should be condemned in the strongest terms, and the bill was approved by 243 votes to 140 against.
The law called for sanctions to be imposed on those who support the ICC in "investigating, arresting, detaining or prosecuting a person from the United States or its allies".
In June 2024, the House of Representatives passed a bill demanding sanctions against the ICC by 247 votes to 155, but it was not sent to the Senate for approval due to the Democratic majority.
In order for the bill to become law, it must be approved by the Senate and signed by the president of the United States.
