A meeting chaired by the undersecretary of Telecom and Information Technology, Eng. Ali Al-Makni, and undersecretary of Electricity, Energy and Water, Eng. Adel Bader, discussed the mechanism of joint coordination between the two ministries.
In the meeting, the undersecretary of Telecom stressed the importance of automating the services provided by the Ministry of Electricity and Water in implementation of the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership, the Supreme Political Council, the strategic plan, and the program of the Government of Change and Construction.
He underscored the need to evaluate the current status of the systems and technical equipment used by the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Water and its affiliated units and the current status therein, and to determine the needs, priorities, and urgent requirements for the continuity of providing its services to citizens.
The undersecretary of Electricity and Water pointed out the importance of the role of the Ministry of Telecom and Information Technology in building a unified, integrated, and secure automated system for electricity, energy, and water services.
He stressed the importance of digital transformation in the ministry to facilitate the provision of its services to citizens to keep pace with technological developments.
The meeting was attended by the deputy minister of Telecom and Information Technology for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Ahmed Al-Mutawakel, Technical Engineer Taha Zabarah, and those concerned in the two ministries.
