Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on Wednesday that over 40 missiles, including ballistic missiles, were launched during a recent Russian missile attack on Ukraine. He noted that at least 30 of these missiles were intercepted and destroyed. Additionally, the Russians attacked using 70 drones.
Zelensky said in a post on Telegram, reported by the Ukrainian news agency "Ukrinform": "Another massive Russian attack. It is the middle of winter and the target for the Russians remains unchanged: our energy infrastructure. Among their targets are gas and energy facilities that support the normal life of our people."He added that "more than 40 missiles were launched in this attack, including ballistic missiles. At least 30 missiles were destroyed, in addition, more than 70 Russian attack drones were launched overnight. Thanks to our air defense forces and all participating units, we were able to maintain the functionality of our energy system."
