Baghdad - Saba:
The leader of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, Qatari Al-Obeidi, announced today, Saturday, that an Iraqi warplane flew in the skies of the western Anbar desert regions to pursue the remnants of ISIS gangs hiding inside secret tunnels and caves in the Anbar desert.
Al-Obeidi said in a statement to the Iraqi "Al-Maalouma" Agency: "An Iraqi drone carried out aerial reconnaissance operations targeting the desert areas near the border strip with Syria west of Anbar, against the backdrop of monitoring the movements of small groups of ISIS terrorist gang remnants in the targeted areas with complex terrain."
He added: "The army aviation has developed modern drones equipped with four missiles that are capable of targeting ISIS terrorist gatherings and can fly and monitor for 24 hours without any interruption in the operations to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorist cells in the western Anbar desert regions near the border strip areas with Syria."
Al-Obaidi stressed that "operating drones by the Iraqi army would secure the western Anbar desert areas and prevent terrorist groups in Syria from infiltrating the western sector of Anbar province."
