Gaza - Saba:
The ceasefire deal entered into force on Sunday, amid hopes for an end to the Zionist bombing and bloody massacres committed by the enemy forces for 470 days against the civilians in the Strip.
Palestinian media sources said most Palestinians in the Gaza Strip did not sleep at night, anticipating the start of the ceasefire agreement, marking the final end to genocidal war waged by Israel on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
Dozens of citizens anticipated the start of the deal and headed to their city of Rafah, from which the occupation forces withdrew to the Palestinian-Egyptian border, after its continuous invasion since May 7, leaving shocking scenes of destruction.
Last Wednesday evening, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman announced the success of the mediators' efforts (Doha, Cairo and Washington) in reaching an agreement to cease fire in Gaza and exchange prisoners, which will be implemented this morning, Sunday.
The agreement consists of three stages, each lasting 42 days, and includes a cessation of military operations, the withdrawal of the occupation army from populated areas in Gaza, the opening of the Rafah crossing and the enhancement of the entry of aid through it.
The agreement stipulates, in a first phase lasting six weeks, the release of 33 Zionist prisoners in Gaza, whether alive or dead.
In return, the occupation authorities will release 737 Palestinian prisoners, and the release will not take place before 4:00 pm today, Sunday (14:00 GMT).
Three female Zionist prisoners will be released this evening, and 30 Palestinian prisoners will be released for every Zionist prisoner.
The details of the first day of the agreement include the withdrawal of occupation forces from residential areas, the suspension of Zionist air traffic over Gaza for 12 hours, and humanitarian aid will begin to flow to Gaza at a rate of 600 trucks per day.
The occupation army began withdrawing its vehicles from the center of Rafah city to the Philadelphi axis on the border with Egypt.
The Zionist enemy army radio also announced that the 932nd Battalion of the Nahal Brigade withdrew from the Gaza Strip.
Even an hour before the ceasefire came into effect, the Zionist helicopters bombed a tent for the displaced in Mawasi Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, which led to the injury of four citizens. The Zionist artillery also intensively bombed the eastern areas of Khan Younis city, south of the Gaza Strip.
