At least ten people were killed and 32 others were injured in a fire that broke out in a hotel in a ski resort in northwestern Turkey on Tuesday.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said in a statement that the fire broke out overnight in a hotel restaurant in the Kartalkaya resort in Bolu province.

Bolu Governor Abdul Aziz Aydin told the Turkish Anadolu Agency that two of the victims died after jumping from the building in a state of panic.

He added that the hotel was hosting 234 guests at the time of the fire, and that the injured were taken to the hospital, and investigations are still ongoing.
