New York - Saba:
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed that more than 376,000 Palestinians returned to northern Gaza between Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon.

The office said today that half of these displaced persons are men, a quarter of them are women and the other quarter are children.

The OCHA office relied on figures from a working group that includes several organizations that set up census points throughout the Strip.

The office added, "Pregnant or lactating women, the elderly, people with disabilities, people with chronic diseases or those in need of urgent medical care, or unaccompanied minors are among the main vulnerable categories of displaced persons who made this difficult journey on foot."
