Sa'ada - Saba:
Minister of Electricity, Water and Energy Ali Mohammed on Thursday inspected several ongoing projects in Haidan district in Sa'ada province, including the nearly completed Marran water project.
Funded by the Central Interventions Unit and UNICEF at a cost of two million dollars, the project is in its final phase and will soon provide clean water to 25,000 people in the Maran area.
During the inspection, the Minister received a briefing from Haidan district director Sadiq Ghubaj who highlighted the project’s importance in improving the lives of residents in this mountainous region.
The project has reached 99% completion and has successfully undergone pilot operation.
Minister Mohammed emphasized the need for ongoing maintenance to ensure the project’s longevity and expressed gratitude to the donors for their support.
He reiterated the government's commitment to providing essential services.
The Minister reviewed Marran Road Lighting Project, which is being self-financed by the Ministry, and inspected the progress of the Haidan electricity network improvement and expansion works, directing its swift completion.
