Occupied Al-Quds – SABA

As the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, carefully documented the process of handing over Israeli prisoners in a manner that suited its interests and refused to comply with Israeli demands to prevent the presence of its fighters, it also redeployed its police forces across Gaza from the early hours of the first phase of the ceasefire. In response, Israeli voices emerged expressing fear and frustration.

In this context, Yossi Yehoshua, the military analyst for the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, wrote:

"There is no alternative authority in Gaza—Gaza is Hamas, and Hamas is Gaza."

He further stated:

"Perhaps it is time to adopt President (Donald) Trump's proposal and discuss voluntary evacuation from Gaza. There is no alternative authority in Gaza—Gaza is Hamas, and Hamas is Gaza. I see no solution."

The analyst also voiced concerns about the West Bank, describing it as the greatest threat to Israelis.

"Tulkarm is just a meter away from Kfar Yona… They have organized battalions, like the Jenin Battalion and the Tulkarm Battalion… We wake up in the morning to sirens lasting three to four hours, with threats just three kilometers away."

He added:

"As Israelis, we must realize that the possibility of another October 7th is more tangible here, and that is extremely dangerous."

Meanwhile, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stated on Thursday that "the images coming from Gaza confirm that what has happened so far is not a complete victory but rather a complete failure."

He described the prisoner exchange deal as unprecedented and accused the Israeli government of choosing a path of surrender.

Similarly, Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the Israel Beytenu party, commented:

"The images from Gaza prove that we must separate from it forever."

For his part, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich expressed concern over the deal’s consequences, stating:

"We are worried about the price we are paying as part of this exchange, despite our joy at the return of the hostages."

On Thursday, the Palestinian resistance handed over three Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross, as part of the third batch in the first phase of the Al-Aqsa Flood prisoner exchange deal, along with five Thai workers.

Large crowds gathered at the handover sites in northern and southern Gaza, particularly in front of the home of martyr commander Yahya Sinwar in Khan Younis, where resistance flags were raised.

In exchange for the Israeli hostages, the Israeli occupation released 110 Palestinian prisoners from its jails today, as stipulated in the ceasefire agreement.
