The Social Welfare Department in the capital Sana'a held on Thursday a combined cultural event and graduation ceremony, commemorating the anniversary of martyr leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi and celebrating the completion of a professional and social empowerment training course for wounded and disabled veterans.
The event, attended by high-ranking military officials and leaders from the war disabled association, featured a speech by Colonel Raidan al-Da'ani, Head of the Disabled Division at the Social Welfare Department.
Al-Da'ani emphasized the importance of remembering the martyr leader's steadfastness and commitment, stating that his Quranic project was a call to restore the nation's rightful place. He also noted the accuracy of the leader's warnings about the "American-Zionist project."
Al-Da'ani also recognized the graduates of the professional and social preparation course, highlighting the academic instruction that equipped wounded, disabled, and psychologically impacted individuals with skills for productive economic engagement.
Course participant and wounded veteran Bilal al-Safa confirmed the training provided valuable theoretical and practical knowledge, preparing them for professional work and economic empowerment. The initiative demonstrates a commitment to supporting disabled veterans and their reintegration into society.
