Sana'a - Saba:
The General Federation of Yemeni Workers' Unions has strongly condemned the decision by the US administration to classify Ansarullah as a foreign terrorist organization.
In a statement, the Federation emphasized that this designation targets not only Ansarullah but also the Yemeni people, noting that it is a form of retaliation against Yemen for its principled stance in supporting the Palestinian cause.
The Federation criticized the US for its continued bias in favor of the Israeli occupation, highlighting America's role in supporting the occupation's crimes and imposing sanctions that worsen the lives of people across the region.
In a statement, the Federation also condemned the US’s broader hostile actions against Yemen, including military intervention, the formation of the so-called "Guardian of Prosperity Alliance," and its partnership with Israel, Britain, and other countries involved in the aggression against Yemen.
The statement called on Arab and international trade unions, civil society organizations, and human rights groups to denounce the US decision, warning of its harmful impact on Yemen’s humanitarian situation and regional peace efforts.
It also criticized US policies as violations of international law, accusing the US of using such tactics to politically blackmail those opposed to its policies.
The statement stressed that this US designation could undermine peace efforts in Yemen, hinder UN mediation, and create obstacles for international mediators.
It reaffirmed its rejection of the US classification and called for unity and steadfastness in confronting what it described as the Zionist-American enemy and its allies in the region.
