The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine said that what happened in the town of Tamoun, south of the city of Tubas, was a "brutal massacre and a Nazi crime"; it comes within the framework of the Zionist enemy's frenzied campaign against the Palestinian people, their land and their holy sites.
The Islamic Jihad movement confirmed in a statement today, Thursday, that the Tamoun massacre is "a new episode in a series of war crimes carried out by the occupation with the aim of forcibly displacing Palestinians from their lands and changing the demographic and historical facts in occupied Palestine."
It considered that "the open aggression in the occupied West Bank reflects a systematic strategy aimed at eliminating any Palestinian presence in the occupied territories."
It considered that the enemy's crimes in the West Bank, especially in the Jenin camp, "reflect the occupation's intention to establish its presence and impose its military control permanently."
Jihad stressed that the Zionist Knesset's approval, in a preliminary reading, of a new racist law that allows Jews to own lands in the West Bank, "heralds a new phase of Judaization and settlement within the framework of the annexation plan."
It added: "The entity's aggressive policies cannot be separated from the renewed American support under the Trump administration, which provided political and diplomatic cover for the settlement and aggressive policies of the extreme Zionist right."
The Islamic Jihad movement reiterated that "the Zionist crimes will not break the will of our people, who will continue to resist the occupation, and will not deter them from adhering to their land, rights and existence in our land and homeland."
Yesterday, Wednesday, ten Palestinians were martyred and others were injured, as a result of Zionist shelling that targeted a group of civilians in the town of Tamoun, southeast of the city of Tubas, in the northern West Bank.
