Moscow – SABA:
According to surveys conducted by Russia’s International Tourism Development Center, 92% of foreign tourists who visited Russia last year expressed a desire to visit again, Novosti reported on Saturday.
The center’s director, Yulia Maksutova, stated: “Russia made significant efforts last year to attract foreign tourists, and these efforts have paid off. The number of people wanting to visit Russia repeatedly has increased. Surveys of tourists who visited Russia in 2024 showed that 96% were satisfied with their trip, and 92% expressed a desire to return.”
Maksutova noted that while these survey results are promising for Russia’s tourism industry, some areas still need improvement. Specifically, 20% of foreign tourists reported communication difficulties due to language barriers, highlighting the need for Russian tour guides to enhance their foreign language skills.
