The Shura Council Education and Scientific Research Committee held a meeting headed by Council Chairman Mohammed Al-Aidaroos, attended by his deputy Mohammed Al-Durra, Committee Chairman Abdo Qabati, his deputy Abdul Wahid Al-Sharafi, Secretary General of the Council Ali Abdul-Mughni, in addition to Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, and Undersecretaries of the Ministry Ibrahim Luqman and Ibrahim Sharaf. The meeting discussed the challenges facing the Ministry of Education and ways to address them.
The participants stressed the importance of coordination between the committee and the ministry to prepare reports that help in developing solutions and recommendations to improve the educational process at its various stages. The meeting also urged the need to pay attention to the administrative and academic staff and grant them their rights in a manner consistent with the nature of their tasks.
The Shura Council Chairman appreciated the efforts made by the ministry to continue the educational process despite the difficult circumstances resulting from the aggression and siege, praising the role of teachers in continuing to perform their educational mission despite the economic challenges. Al-Eidaroos stressed the need for concerted efforts to enhance the role of the ministry and advance education, expressing the council's readiness to provide the necessary consultations to the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to overcome the difficulties facing the education sector.
He also pointed out the importance of reviewing the school map to be consistent with reality, enhancing the faith identity and loyalty to the homeland among rising generations, and benefiting from the outcomes of the National Education Conference in developing the educational process.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Education reviewed the efforts made by the ministry to stabilize the educational process in various governorates, expressing his appreciation for the role of school administrations and teachers in performing their educational mission.
The meeting concluded with a number of discussions that emphasized the need for integrated efforts to address the issues facing the education sector at all levels.
