The Executive Unit for the Construction, Maintenance and Development of Roads and Public Places in the Capital Sana'a has commenced the laying of an asphalt layer on Television Street in al-Thawra district, Sana'a. The project is funded by the Capital Sana'a.
Undersecretary of the Capital for the Works and Projects Sector Eng. Abdulkarim al-Houthi and Director of Central Projects Eng. Ali Abu al-Rijal inspected the ongoing asphalt works, which cover an area of 2,850 square meters and are currently at 60 percent completion. The project is part of a 69 million YER initiative to rehabilitate and maintain Amran Street in al-Thawra district.
Officials received updates from Eng. Ali Muhraqa, Deputy Director of the Executive Unit, and Eng. Ibrahim al-Suwar, Director of Projects in the Unit, regarding the progress of the first phase of the project. This phase includes maintenance and asphalt restoration of deteriorated sections and excavations on Amran Street, spanning from the Tunnel and Clock Bridge, through Television Street, to the beginning of Amran Roundabout Bridge.
Eng. al-Houthi emphasized the significance of maintaining and restoring Television and Amran Streets to preserve the asphalt and improve traffic flow, aligning with efforts to enhance infrastructure in the capital. He acknowledged the technical teams' efforts in executing the project.
He also reiterated the commitment to continue implementing road projects funded by the local authority, in line with sustainable development plans aimed at improving essential services across Sana'a's districts.
