Al-Bireh - Saba:
Palestinian Minister of Culture, Imad Hamdan, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Office in Palestine, Lily Hailu, cooperation and coordination to support activities aimed at preserving traditional heritage and creative industries.

The Palestinian News Agency reported that during the meeting, held at the Ministry's headquarters in Al-Bireh, the two parties discussed the need to coordinate the implementation of activities aimed at protecting intangible heritage in Palestine, especially in light of the challenges facing traditional crafts threatened with extinction.

The meeting also addressed the request for international assistance from UNESCO to support this important sector, through the implementation of a series of capacity-building activities and training on mechanisms for the emergency safeguarding of cultural heritage.
