The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, considered the Zionist enemy's prevention of Palestinians from performing Itikaf (seclusion) at Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday night for the second time a dangerous escalation of its religious war.
The movement said in a press statement on Friday that "the enemy's continued aggression and arbitrary measures aimed at oppressing the Palestinian people during the holy month of Ramadan, and its prevention of worshippers performing Itikaf (seclusion) at Al-Aqsa Mosque for the second time, constitutes a dangerous escalation of its religious war, a systematic targeting of Muslim rituals, and an escalation of the Judaization campaign targeting Jerusalem and its holy sites."
