Sana'a - Saba:
The Shura Council on Sunday said the US-British aggression against civilian objects in the capital, Sana'a, and the governorates of Sa'ada, Hajjah, Dhamar, Baydha, and Marib is a full-fledged war crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and international conventions.
In a statement, the Council indicated that the aggression reveals the criminal role played by America in supporting the Zionist entity in order to dissuade Yemen from its steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian people, who are being subjected to a war of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and starvation by the Zionists.
The statement condemned the targeting of residential neighborhoods by the aggression, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens, most of them women and children. This is a flagrant crime that confirms the criminal nature of the US administration and its disregard for human rights conventions that criminalize the targeting of civilians.
The Council warned against the consequences of the US enemy's continued violation of Yemeni sovereignty and its use of deception and misinformation to legitimize the targeting of the country and the militarization of the Red Sea in service of the Zionist entity and to cover up its crimes in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.
It stated that the US-British aggression against Yemen is unjustified, especially since Yemeni military operations at sea only target ships belonging to the Zionist entity until it commits to implementing the ceasefire agreement and allows the entry of food and medicine into Gaza.
The Shura Council stressed that the Yemeni Armed Forces will not stand idly by in the face of any violation of national sovereignty and that they have the options to deter aggression and defend the Yemeni people and their capabilities with full force.
The Council reiterated its support for all options offered by the Leader of the Revolution and the Supreme Political Council to confront the escalation of aggression, calling on all Yemenis to strengthen unity and stand behind the revolutionary and political leadership in the face of American arrogance.
The Council called on the Association of Senates and Shura Councils in Africa and the Arab World to stand against the US-British escalation against Yemen and condemn its brutal aggression, which targets the Yemeni people and threatens the security and safety of international navigation.
